A charity supporting stray/unwanted and former lab dogs, providing funds for shelters in Slovakia and Slovenia. Set up by Roman Gunne, For the Love of Dogs aims to raise money to aid in the further rescue and ongoing financial support for the care of these animals. Unfortunately, in these areas of the world, strays and former lab dogs are unwanted and are often gassed, shot, beaten to death or drowned. He himself rescued two dogs that way and continues to spread the word about this horrific practise.

This project has received a huge amount of suppport from numerous artists and tattooists around the globe. All have donated dog related artwork to be made into and sold as prints.

As for where the money will be donated, the final decision will be made once a guestimation has been made of how much money can potentially be raised. Two charities that will definitely benefit however, one being the "Franziskustierheim", a local shelter Roman Gunne got his first dog from. He lives in Austria, and they work alongside a woman who regularly rescues dogs from death camps and off the streets of Slovenia. She does this all in her spare time and takes the dogs she rescues to Franziskustierheim. Unfortunately they are already in a LOT of debt. Money raised will be donated to them for sure as well as a bunch of food and supplies etc. The other organisation is ran by two women from Vienna called "glück für tiere" and they supply all the food and medical care for dogs in Slovakia, Roman Gunne has been there himself and rescued his second dog that way. He was a stray and in a horrible condition. The state of Slovakia refuses to pay the people working there so the organisation depends on donations. All artists involved will also auction their originals and donate the proceeds to local shelters.

The project will also be featured in the April issue of "tätowiermagazin".
